Explore the Wild Atlantic Way
The Wild Atlantic Way follows the west coast of Ireland for some 2,500 kilometres — the longest defined coastal touring route in the world. It runs from Malin Head at the top of Donegal, through Sligo, Mayo, Connemara, Clare and Kerry, to Mizen Head and the peninsulas of West Cork: a road of sea cliffs and surf beaches, fjords and islands, Neolithic tombs and lighthouse headlands.
These are our guides to 20 of the route's greatest stops, arranged north to south — what makes each one special, how to get there, and what to know before you go. Create a free WAWander account to mark them off as you travel and build your own map of the journey.
